Andreas S. Tsukada joined Caris Life Sciences in September 2021 as Senior Vice President, President of Japanese Operations and Head of International. In this role, he leads the expansion and global management of Caris’ growing international presence, which includes oversight of operations, market development and regulatory/reimbursement, biopharma partnerships and strategic initiatives including ex-U.S. laboratory deployment.

Prior to joining Caris, Mr. Tsukada supported the establishment of Guardant Health in APAC and the first lab ex-U.S. with a focus on Japan where he was responsible for all functions across commercial, regulatory and lab operations. With extensive experience in oncology, precision medicine and diagnostics across multiple regions such as Europe, MENA and Asia-Pacific, Mr. Tsukada also led Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Clinical NGS partnerships for CDx, commercialization and IVD. He has held key leadership roles at Merck Biopharma and UCB and has started several companies, including JMDC.

Mr. Tsukada received his BA Honors Biology from University of York, England, earned his MBA from Middlebury Institute of International Studies, USA, and completed his Executive Management program from INSEAD, France.
